Operations on Integers

Usual procedure sa operation ng integers

1.) Calculate muna yung nasa loob nang mga grouping symbols ( ), [ ], { }

2.) Calculate yung exponents

3.) Pakaliwa kanan, gawin ang MDAS (x, division, +, -)

*SAMPOL! SAMPOL! SAMPOL!*

1.) 9 x 3 -(15 / 5)
Gawin muna yung nasa loob

15/5= 3

kaya magiging

9x3 -3

MDAS time!

9x3= 27

27-3

Isa pang example.

2.) 84/4 -{3 [ 10 + (15 - 2 ) ]}

sa loob muna uumpisa

15-2 = 13

kaya magiging

84/4 -{3[ 10 + 13]}

Sa loob ulit

10 + 13= 23

84/4 -{3 [23]}

3x23= 69

84/4 -69

Last example.

3.) 6^2- 5 x 4 - (-27 + 3 x 2 )

ibig sabihin ng ^ raised to the power of bla

so umpisa sa loob, MDAS.

3 x 2= 6

6^2 - 5 x 4 - (-27 + 6)

sa loob ulit.

-27 +6= - 21

6^2 - 5 x 4 + 21

Nag iba yung sign dahil -(-21) negative x negative is positive.

MDAS ulit.

-5x4= -20

so

6^2 -20 +21

-20+21= 1

6^2 +1

dahil 6 square ito = 6 x 6 = 36

36+1= 37

1.) -56/ 8 {3[-10 - (4 x 3)]}

2.) 52- {-16 + 5[ 25 + 9^2 + (8-6)]}

3.) 2{-5 -6 [ 3^2 -7 (4 +1)]}

8-6= 2
32- {-16 + 5 [25 + 9^2 + 2]}
9^2= 9 x 9 = 81
32- { - 16 + 5 [25 + 81 +2]}
25+ 81 + 2= 108
32- {-16 + 5 [108]}
5 x 108 = 540
32- {-16 + 540}
-16 + 540= 524

3.) 2{ -5 -6 [ 3^2 - 7 (4 + 1) ] }
4+1= 5
2{ -5 -6 [ 3^2 - 7 (5) ] }
-7 x 5 = - 35
3^2= 3 x 3 = 9

9-35= -26
